The Oxford Synthesiser Company was formed by engineer/designer Chris Huggett when the British synthesizer company “Electronic Dream Plant”, which he co-founded with synthesist Adrian Wagner, folded in 1982

The Oxford Synthesiser Company’s  ”OSCar” synthesizer was launched in 1983. Chris Huggett designed the electronics and product designer Anthony Harrison-Griffin created the unique styling and build of the OSCar. The Oscar had a very distinctive appearance featuring rugged black rubberized components to protect the controls making it virtually “roadie proof”. The Oscar has an elemental sequencer enabling the user to play a monophonic lead in duophonic mode, whilst it simultaneously played a sequence. A great synthesizer that is instantly recognisable in a crowd!
